 | | 14.02.2006 Notes From The Borderline – Or: The Cycle For PeaceHey planet hoppers, page makers, music rippers and web surfers! Nice one for stopping by once more. Apologies for the communication breakdown but there were quite a lot of things to sort out here on Planetkat which has left its inhabitant(s) with little time to communicate to the outside world. But it's never too late to give a go. Here is the rundown: I finally managed to get hold of my “visa permanente”, my permanent visa, and can now live and stay here in Argentina as long as I want. I can even work legally and I have the right to bring personal belongings into the country, a claim which runs under the so called “effectos personales” or “personal effects”. My decks are safe now. I am happy, but at the same time, this whole immigration process got me thinking. Why do Europeans – like me – have a ticket to ride and can marry within 17 days whilst Africans end up in detention if they want to come to Germany? The joys of living in a just world. Mmmmh, aha, soso. Share my tales, traveller. Now that you’ve come that far… |
