27.04.2005 ¿Qué se quenta, Argentina? |
Not only the club owners are affected, also all the other people who work and make a living in nightlife are getting more and more desperate – the bar men, cloak room attendees, toilet ladies, DJs, promoters, organizers, bookers…. The list is endless. Every now and then, there is a club night or a gig though. For example Analog Pussy, probably the flashiest Psytrance live act in the world, who played in Palermo Viejo based Club Niceto on April 23. Apart from a few big and commercial venues, there are no places and spaces to go to and dance right now. A few venues, such as the art space cum hotel restaurant Boquitas Pintadas tried to surpass the coherent madness by not allowing the guests to dance when Cologne artist Treibstoff genius Marcel Janovsky stopped over in Argentina in March, but to no avail: The situation is shit, and the people are getting really desperate. And overjoyed when there is finally an event they can go to! And fucked off when they buy a ticket and then cannot get into the club. As it was the case on April 23—the municipality was checking the exact number of people entering the establishment. Over 700 people were left waiting in front of the door, whilst inside, the same amount of people were celebrating the freaky now Germany based Israeli duo Analog Pussy who were finally hitting the stage at 3 AM in the vast 2,000 and more capacity venue. What a waste! Everyone was hoping the ruthless law enforcers would disappear but they stayed until the end which would not stop the people from partying heavily to the punk rock and reggae dub infused trance rhythms.
