FOTOJOURNALISM LIVE +++ Ballymun

I wiped my eyes when we, me and my very knowlegable co-traveller Imke Pienkos, disembarked the bus in Ballymun. We were looking for the horses we heard so much about. Apparently, they lived in the flats with their owners, pony-crazed children of dole claimers that were housed here since the Seventies. We found them, and the creepy experience of imagining what it's like to grow up here still makes me shiver. It's hard to understand there are governments full of educated people who really believe in the bright future of the inhabitants of social estates like this one.
